Dan has provided expert advice to TreasuryNZ, StatsNZ, the City Government of Dubai, and contributed to a High-Level Meeting at the United Nations on wellbeing and public policy.

Alongside his academic work, he regularly appears on RadioNZ in the Philosophy Now with Dan Weijers segment, sharing insights on philosophy and wellbeing with a wider audience. His research spans wellbeing and the ethics of new technologies, drawing on a wide range of disciplinary perspectives and methods.

Dan’s research explores wellbeing and the ethics of emerging technologies, drawing on a wide range of disciplinary perspectives and methods. He is also the founding co-editor of the International Journal of Wellbeing. Dan has advised organisations including TreasuryNZ, StatsNZ, the City Government of Dubai, and contributed to a High-Level Meeting at the United Nations on wellbeing and public policy. Alongside his academic work, Dan regularly shares his expertise with the public through the Philosophy Now with Dan Weijers segment on RadioNZ.
